The student is required to write a proposal, a report, make a presentation and demonstrate
the project.

Special topic and independent study courses are offered to supplement student's
background
in the research area. The courses currently available are: RF
Communication Laboratory,
and MW Devices & MMIC Design.

Thesis (6 hours)
The student is required to write a proposal, to defend the thesis and demonstrate the project
after a thesis committee reviews it.
The above courses are also available on videotapes for off-campus students.
Research Areas:
MICs and MMICs, Active and passive antennas,
microwave sensors, and wireless systems.
Sponsored Research:
The faculty are actively engaged in industry sponsored research and
consulting work with Northrop Grumman Corp., Fujitsu Compound Semiconductors,
Inc., Tracking and Imaging Systems, Inc., and Caterpillar, Inc. The
students are supported by the research grants as well as department assistantships.
Undergraduate Courses in Microwave and Wireless Engineering:
The undergraduate courses are available as electives chosen from the graduate courses (500 level) listed above. The only courses accepted as electives are EE550, EE551, EE552, EE555, and RF Communication Lab.

RF/Microwave Laboratory
The laboratory is well equipped to facilitate
research projects. The RF lab is located in Jobst Hall, room 325.

Anechoic Chamber and Antenna Measurements Facility:
800 MHz to 30 GHz; Quiet Zone: reflectivity < -25dB in 1 ft. dia. spherical region.

The Culloms-Davis Library, Bradley University , has a collection of current books and periodicals in the area of RF/Microwave Engineering. The library also provides document retrieval service through inter library loan. In addition, the RF lab itself has a collection of RF/Microwave Engineering books, journals and conference proceedings.
