Solar-Powered RF Signal Generation for Energy Harvester Applications

About Our Project

Solar-Powered RF Signal Generation for Energy Harvester Applications is a senior project by Sam Casey and Michelle Saltouros, advised by Dr. Brian Huggins and Dr. Prasad Shastry for Bradley University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The project will run from October 2017 to May 2018.

A Brief Intoduction

Our project is a 915MHz RF transmitter that is powered by photovoltaic cells instead of utility power, and has the capacity to store backup power for times with low levels of insolation. It will be built for 24/7 operation. The transmitter may be used to power charge pumps designed for 915MHz operation by another current senior project. The system will run on a variable duty cycle.
