As
team captain, Jeremy is in charge of interfacing all of the different
sub-systems on team NASTI. This is his third autonomous vehicle at Bradley
University and he loves the unique challenges present in robotics. Jeremy
has taken a variety of classes from machine intelligence to a low-level
interfacing lab to allow him to view autonomous vehicles on a system
level. When not working with team NASTI in the lab, he enjoys reading and
rockin' out on the drums with his band.
Zackary Knoll, Junior Undergraduate EE
Power Electronics Engineer
Zack Knoll, one of the two junior undergraduates working on the project, was the main designer of the power electronics for the motor speed controllers, and will be working on the navigation system as well as the competition subtasks. He has been fascinated by electronic systems from a young age and enjoys taking on small projects in his spare time. He enjoys the challenge and practical thinking that comes with engineering and hopes to take a job that requires both hardware and software design challenges like the robotic boat has presented.
Steven Blass just completed his junior year in Electrical Engineering at Bradley this fall. Steven worked on many low level micro-controller applications for team NASTI, including interfacing, communication protocols and motor control. This was his first autonomous vehicle project, but definitely not his last. He is interning at Caterpillar this summer working with embedded systems. In his free time he enjoys running, Frisbee golf, and playing guitar.
