Transducer Pulser
by Timothy Siedlecki Advisor: Dr. T. L. Stewart Ultrasonic transducers can be used in many different applications. Most
often, the composition of a ceramic plate, or of a metal bar, etc., is
needed to discover the quality of the material structure of these materials.
The advantage of using these sensors is that ultrasound can produce acceptable
results without having to destroy the material being tested. The goal of
this project is to produce a battery powered circuit to trigger these transducers
with a high voltage pulse. Designing a product in this way would allow
testing of materials to occur outside a laboratory environment A portable
device would allow the user to move freely around the material.
