Temperature Control System Using Hot Water for Heat Transfer
by
Hisham Hamzah & Brian Lindley
Advisor: Dr. W. K. Anakwa

The temperature in a laboratory model of a house is controlled using hot water from a constant temperature hot water supply tank. The measured feedback signals are received from temperature sensors, liquid flow rate sensors. A personal computer is used to control solenoid valves regulating the hot water flow. The program, written in "C" language, uses a PCL812P input/output card to implement the control algorithm after entering the desired room temperature and time of day per room. MATLAB or TUTSIM system simulation is compared with actual system results.
