A Rotary Power Frequency Converter
by Brad Cooper & Matt Schebler Advisor: Dr. R. Jetton Rotary power frequency converters are used extensively in industry to
convert power to and from frequencies other than 60 HZ. Typically the controls
on these converters are of the analog feedback type. The purpose of this
project is to design an operating converter using microprocessors to replace
the analog controls. The result is a machine that is more precisely controlled
and responds faster to power system perturbations.
